Our Trip to Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach/Myrtle Beach

Ok...this is an old blog that I forgot to post back when it happened but I thought Conor's antics could be an up lifter so enjoy anyway.

On the 27th of March, we went to Wilmington, NC for a last minute trip to see David's mom, sister Cindi and granddad. Tobie and Cindi were going to surprise us once they got to Wilmington but we were surprised before they actually made it there. Tobie had a breathing attack on the leg of the flight from Phoenix to Charlotte and once they landed in Charlotte they took her off the plane and to the hospital. Thank the Lord there was a doctor on the flight who was able to attend to her until they landed. Well we received a text from Cindi letting us know what happened and they were taking her to the hospital (surprise). They kept her until late the next day and then wouldn't let her get on a flight so they rented a car and drove the last 4 hours. So, we decided that we needed to go see them and that's why we took a trip to Wilmington.

It was great to see family although it was only for a day. Conor was the entertainment for the weekend...it started when David and his granddad went out to the shed to look at tools and Conor decided he wanted to go also but they already had gone out and closed the screen door. Yea you guessed it, a scene straight out of Funny Home Videos, he ran into the closed screen door and "bounced" off of it. It shook the house to the point of stopping David in his tracks who was already 1/2 way across the yard. So, when we all stopped laughing, then wishing we had a video camera we did ask if he was OK. Then for the second part of his entertainment was the next day when we took Tobie and Cindi to the airport and Conor and I went to park the car, as we started to cross the breeze-way he tripped over "air" about face planting into the ground to which Tobie gave him a huge round of applause. So for the rest of the weekend we had to remind him not to run into things and be careful around breakable items.

After we said our good-byes, put them on the plane we made a couple of side stops on the way home. First we went to Wrightsville Beach, beautiful place then we took the boys to Myrtle Beach as we have been there a few times but without them. Then home.

It was a great weekend but we missed having Jacob & Sydney with us and family missed seeing them.
